The LandesMusikVerband NRW uses Inscribe as a digital attendance list

Return to the world of music with digital list Inscribe

In many rehearsal rooms it has remained unnaturally quiet for the last few months. The otherwise lively sounds and melodies there succumbed to the measures taken to contain the global pandemic. However, with the upcoming relaxation in the field of culture, especially in the field of music, music enthusiasts can hope for the return of communal sounding notes. The government plans to open theatres, concert halls and opera houses from 22 March 2021 and many musicians are preparing to return to the boards that mean the world. This is also the case for the members of the committed LandesMusikVerband NRW 1960 e.V. (LMV). The LMV offers its music associations the digital attendance list Inscribe together with COCUS free of charge and in its own association colours to digitally supplement the hygiene concepts.

Digital solution as a contact tracking tool

The collection of contact details of persons present is required as an integral part of the hygiene concepts that serve as a basis for the reopening of cultural sites. This ensures that in case of infection, possible contacts can be identified and notified. Those who resort to manual registration with pen & paper not only lose time, but also risk that prying eyes of third parties can gain insight into the data.
The LMV enables its clubs to circumvent these difficulties by providing a digital solution for contact tracking with Inscribe. Each association can generate individual QR codes with Inscribe, which are then displayed at the entrance to the premises used, be it rehearsals or soon perhaps small concerts. By using the camera function of all common smartphones, the posted QR code can be scanned, whereupon a registration form opens in the internet browser, where people should leave their contact details. No app needs to be installed on the mobile phone for this and with just a few clicks, people present can register. In addition, the protection of the data is ensured, as it is collected in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

"By using Inscribe, we hope to both re-enable face-to-face youth work and ensure straightforward rehearsal and event operations. We're looking forward to hopefully getting things started again soon!"

Due to the digital recording of personal data, attendance lists no longer have to be sorted and stored manually, and the destruction of documents after the legally prescribed deadline is no longer necessary. Because digital solution Inscribe as automatically deletes the collected data after the specified period of 4 weeks. In the case of contact tracing, the data protection officer of the respective association can use a unique and individual verification key to decrypt the contact data and make the digital list available to the health department for the relevant period. In addition, the digital recording enables the creation of an exact time window in which a potential infection of other people was possible. This makes it easier to assess the risk of infection.
