We believe that trying and testing is the best way to help shape the future. That is why we have set up a mobile 5G Lab with our own OpenRan-based Packet Core at our location in D\u00fcsseldorf. As a long-standing IT enabler and telco partner, we naturally sought the 5G licence as soon as we could in 2019. That’s why we at COCUS are the proud owners of our own 5G license<\/a> from the German Federal Network Agency (BNetzA) for our COCUS 5G Lab.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

What are the advantages of having your own mobile 5G Lab?<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Together with our customers, we are exploring the limits of 5G network technology, developing new applications, testing hardware and thinking about what is possible in a 5G world. With our lab, however, not only visionary ideas are tested, but real use cases are realised in order to be able to make all technical resources available and to test and optimise use cases in a real environment. That’s why we have<\/span> developed its own 5G Packet Core, which is the software core and brain of the technology to enable data communication. With an open Open-RAN based<\/a> approach, which allows the greatest flexibility in any integrations and will continue to do so in the future, we implement add-on services up to and including <\/span>Augmented Reality <\/span>Maintenance scenarios with drones.
