The various possibilities and advantages of private 5G networks do not remain hidden even from the most rural area. The Gesellschaft f\u00fcr Bildung und Beruf (GBB) and the Iserlohn workshops recognized the potential early on. The research project “5G Au\u00dfenarbeit”, funded by the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture as part of the Federal Program for Rural Development and Regional Value Creation, is intended to take a closer look at the possibilities of 5G networks in outdoor workplaces for companies and employees in the rural M\u00e4rkischer Kreis district for a period of 24 months. This concerns exclusively cities and municipalities with less than 35000 inhabitants. <\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The project partners GBB and the Iserlohn workshops are planning various deployment scenarios of 5G use cases for the M\u00e4rkisch district as well as the Iserlohn workshops. The purpose of the 24-month research project is to demonstrate that companies can use 5G networks to support decentralized workplaces in rural areas with the help of digital assistance systems. The benefits of this can be reduced commuting times, counteracting the shortage of skilled workers and increased employability, as well as participation and provision for the general public for target groups with specific impairments in rural areas.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The planned roadshow will use COCUS AG’s mobile 5G campus network to demonstrate the various use cases. The transportable Campus2Go offers flexibility, easy connection to the existing infrastructure, individual planning, highest security, availability and quality.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The deployment of 5G networks is expected to increase employability in rural areas. This is intended to counteract the shortage of skilled workers. The project is particularly exciting for field work in sales, trades or care, which until now have not had sufficient technical connectivity via cellular or W-LAN and can benefit from 5G technology. Another goal is the supraregional transfer of knowledge and technology to other rural areas.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Through the planned model and demonstration project “5G Au\u00dfenarbeit”, companies in the M\u00e4rkisch district will learn how they can use various 5G applications and the advantages of multimedia real-time communication for themselves. One of the biggest advantages of 5G technology is the high data transmission rate and low latencies.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

With the flexible and portable 5GCampus2Go from COCUS, the demonstration projects can be set up easily and quickly at companies or institutions and tested independently for a period of about 2 weeks. But demonstrations within the premises of the Iserlohn workshops are also planned.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
