Smart-City Solingen: 5G private network for process innovations & real-time applications on the 50ha premises of TBS
Setup of a private 5G industrial network on the 50ha factory site of Technische Betriebe Solingen (TBS), as part of the digitalization strategy of the smart city model town. The planned use cases include autonomous and latency-free vehicle control, but also real-time maintenance of machines with interactive instructions through augmented reality. For the heterogeneous nature of the 50,000 m2 premises, a dedicated 5G private network is particularly interesting and enables process innovations and real-time applications throughout the whole area.
