COCUS opens new location at TGZ Wismar

This summer we decided to open a new branch in the Hanseatic city of Wismar. The new project office in the Technologie- und Gewerbezentrum (TGZ) e.V. Schwerin / Wismar convinced us with its unique location, maritime harbor flair and many exciting industrial partners in the direct vicinity. From now on, our experts there can concentrate on the current projects at the seaport of Wismar and the seaport of Stralsund and provide our customers in the north with advice and support on site. In addition to the pilot projects for the digital collection of environmental data based on LoRaWAN technology at the seaports of Wismar and Stralsund in cooperation with the University of Wismar, we are primarily implementing the local 5G campus network for the 60ha operating area of the seaport of Wismar. The Open-RAN based campus network is powered by COCUS’ own 5G solution.

For projects around connectivity, especially around private 5G networks in industry, we are the right contact and accompany our customers from strategic planning to implementation and operation. After the definition of requirements & use cases, the customized radio network planning is performed by the COCUS expert team and a custom-fit 5G campus network solution is implemented based on the requirements. And we don’t stop there, because we will also take over operation, maintenance and development of further 5G applications and integration of partners. And this is best done directly on site.

Customers also receive support in applying for licenses from the German Federal Network Agency. According to the requirements, the selection & coordination of the hardware takes place, which form the basis for the provision of the network infrastructure as well as the commissioning. Here we work closely with the renowned hardware supplier Airspan.
