OnJuly 14, 2021, the Gigagipfel Hessen 2021 finally took place again on the grounds of the Rheinmain Congress Center in Wiesbaden – naturally in compliance with the applicable distance and hygiene rules. And COCUS was there! On the one hand as exhibitor around 5G campus network solutions, on the other hand with an own workshop presentation together with the BNetzA. After all, the annual Gigapit Summit Hessen is the meeting of the most important players for the expansion and further development of digital infrastructures.
With panel discussions, keynotes and impulse presentations, the topic of digitization and broadband expansion was advanced and brought closer to the audience. In addition to the expert presentations, visitors were of course also able to find out about innovation and future opportunities at the exhibitors’ booths.
We are pleased to have been able to participate this year both as an exhibitor and as an expert. Together with Thomas Heumann, speaker of the Federal Network Agency, we opened the advantages of “Company-owned 5G networks: from A like application to Z like additional benefits” and our Sascha Hellermann was able to give the participants an understanding of the advantages of 5G campus networks and the Open-RAN technology with his presentation “Shaping the 5G campus network success story with COCUS”.
Exciting use cases that can be enabled by the 5th generation mobile communications standard, such as remote maintenance by drones or simplified machien maintenance with AR, were also presented. We were very happy about the many questions and discussions as well as the new contacts and opportunities!
