We are happy, with the ladies of the Golfclub Hummelbachaue, which produced masterful performances in this year’s season of the German Golf League! On August 01, 2021, they kept the upper hand in the promotion duel from the start and secured their return to the 1st Bundesliga with a final, decisive putt!
The team from Neuss, supported by COCUS, as champions of the 2nd League West, met the champions of the League North the Berlin Golf Club Stolper Heide in Berlin. Unlike the league matches, this Sunday’s starting list was exclusively match play; woman against woman. Final score 5:4 for Hummelbachaue – perfect, promotion achieved.

Next spring, it’s off to Berlin again. The opponents in the 1st league are Berlin Wannsee, Hamburg Falkenstein and the “neighbors” Düsseldorfer Golfclub and Düsseldorf Hubbelrath.
We’ll see the ladies from GC Hummelbachaue before next spring, as next week the golf ladies will once again take to the green at the 2021 COCUS Golf Cup to join invited golfers in a tournament over a 9-hole foursome with a selection drive. Teams of two against two players go over the course. Bei dieser Spielvariante schlagen beide Spieler ab und mit der besseren Ballposition geht das Spiel weiter, bis der Ball eingelocht ist. The team with the fewest strokes wins.
