Visitor registration with Inscribe at Haeger & Schmidt

Dusseldorf, May 20, 2020 – Inscribe is a new service from a medium-sized IT company based in Dusseldorf that enables contactless recording of customers and participants in a digital list with simple handling. In this way, Inscribe provides a hygienic and privacy-compliant way to implement and comply with the Corona Protection Ordinance Guidelines of the countries for the service industry. In addition, further information such as the provision of a digital service catalog is made possible

Inscribe solves privacy concerns and manual sorting & retention
The use of the digital solution Inscribe was driven by the concerns of the management and the data protection officer to record the visitor data manually and with a lot of paperwork locally while complying with the associated guidelines on data protection and the retention of personal data. With Inscribe, visitor data is now recorded and encrypted since the beginning of June via displayed QR codes. In the event of a case, Haeger & Schmidt Logistics can thus provide a complete list of all persons who have been staying in their premises on a certain date with just one click. This eliminates the need for the time-consuming and manual search for the right documents.

"With Inscribe, we found a timely and digital solution to continue to maintain necessary business appointments and meetings at our corporate location, while doing our best to avoid proliferation."

– René Kohlhaus, Head of IT Services atHaeger & Schmidt Logistics

Digital visitor registration

The data is stored in encrypted form and can only be accessed using a private access key provided by the data protection officer. After the prescribed retention period of 30 days, all visitor registration data is automatically deleted.

Haeger & Schmidt Logistics is considering expanding the contactless visitor capture solution to its other locations and possibly ships as more features become available, such as simultaneous capture of multiple locations or live dashboards on current traffic.
