COCUS 5G Outpost: 5G connectivity that deploys with your mission

Operations are constantly changing. Infrastructure is not. This is exactly where COCUS 5G Outpost comes in.

COCUS 5G Outpost brings your network exactly where you need it, as it is portable, secure and ready for use within hours, not months. It delivers high-performance connectivity under your control, even as the operational area shifts geographically.

In the field, teams stand-up temporary repair, staging, or logistics points where technicians need secure access to manuals, diagnostics, work orders, and parts data on site. At the same time, temporary locations and critical assets may require rapid perimeter monitoring using smart cameras, LiDAR/radar, and edge AI to detect anomalies in real time. And when large gatherings or fast-moving incidents redefine the operational footprint, communications must be deployed immediately while keeping sensitive data local and remaining fully under operational control.

Traditional network rollouts cannot match these requirements.

What is COCUS 5G Outpost?

With COCUS 5G Outpost, we are introducing a mobile private 5G unit that has been specifically developed to meet these requirements. COCUS 5G Outpost is a trailer- or vehicle-mounted system that combines an extendable telescopic mast with a secure technical enclosure housing a mobile 5G core network and the power supply.

Fully integrated into your network – with the advantages of 5G-Technology in latency, data throughput and security. Deployed on site within hours.

COCUS 5G Outpost is not a single radio station, but a mobile deployment option for the comprehensive COCUS Connectivity Platform, which combines core, security, orchestration and edge functionalities within an integrated private 5G environment.

Inside the secure enclosure, a locally operated 5G core runs alongside embedded network protection, virtualization and automation functions managed through the COCUS Control Center.

The platform supports integrated edge computing, enabling embedded applications such as mission-critical communication (MCX) services, AI-based computer vision, drone coordination, predictive maintenance or other operational workloads directly at the edge.

Internal power and data switching ensure stable system control. A built-in battery enables autonomous operation in the field. Backhaul can be established via public mobile networks or satellite.

The hardware layer remains COTS-compatible. It supports modular payloads such as radios, antennas, lighting systems, cameras, LiDAR, or photovoltaic modules. – and pnp non-5G devices

Security by design

Security is an integral part of the architecture of COCUS 5G Outpost, as the network is operated as a dedicated private system with a local core network, thereby ensuring complete separation from public infrastructure.

SIM-based identity management controls device access. Network segmentation enables operational separation, and communication is encrypted across both radio and backhaul links. Physical access to core and power components is protected within the secured enclosure.

This combination ensures operational control while maintaining flexible external connectivity where required.

A reusable operational asset

Unlike traditional communication infrastructures, COCUS 5G Outpost is not tied to a fixed location. Once a deployment has been completed, you can easily move the unit to another location and redeploy it without the need for construction work or a complex reintegration process.

This turns private 5G into a reusable operational asset rather than a fixed capital project, reducing total cost of ownership while increasing responsiveness.

Connectivity should not wait for infrastructure to be built. It should arrive when and where the mission requires it.

In addition, COCUS 5G Outpost is suitable for remote industrial sites, infrastructure projects in the rail or energy sectors, and other temporary locations without an existing network connection.
