Scalable private 5G infrastructure for production and logistics at a steelworks
Salzgitter AG is driving forward the digitalisation of its production and logistics processes with a company-wide private 5G strategy. In collaboration with Salzgitter Digital Solutions GmbH (SZDS), COCUS implemented the 5G infrastructure across several sites, thereby laying the foundations for industrial applications such as reliable crane control, mobile logistics processes and other data-intensive use cases in demanding production environments.
Goals

- Digitising logistics processes through mobile devices and real-time data.
