Project "PORTABLE 5.0": Implementation and commissioning of a 5G mobile private network on the 66ha site of the Wismar seaport
Establishment and deployment of an Open-RAN based 5G mobile private network at the seaport of Wismar. The targeted use cases include process optimization in real-time dispatching with resident companies as well as remote control of ship loaders and vehicles for timber transport from the port to timber manufacturers. Additionally, remote-controlled drones for remote maintenance and warehousing are planned. The German Federal Ministry of Digital Affairs and Transport is funding the “PORTABLE 5.0” project until 2024.
