Porto, October 1, 2026 – COCUS announces a new leadership structure for its Portuguese operations: Effective October 1, 2026, Alexandra Monteiro has been appointed Co-Managing Director of COCUS Portugal. Together with António de Carvalho, who co-founded the company in 2018 and has served as Managing Director ever since, she will lead the strategic and operational development of COCUS Portugal.
Alexandra Monteiro has been part of COCUS for eight years and will continue in her current role as Global Head of People alongside her new responsibilities. António de Carvalho’s extensive experience and entrepreneurial vision complement Alexandra Monteiro’s strategic expertise and strong focus on people and team development. Together, they aim to further strengthen COCUS Portugal’s market position, deepen customer relationships and unlock new growth opportunities.
"I am deeply honoured to lead COCUS Portugal into its next chapter; after eight years in this company, I know the strength of our people and the trust of our customers, and I am confident that together we will take our ambition further, into new markets and new opportunities."

Shaping the future of COCUS Portugal together
For António de Carvalho, Managing Director and Associate Member of the Board of COCUS Portugal, the vision was clear from the very beginning: COCUS Portugal should not only become a successful technology company but also establish itself as one of the most attractive employers in the Portuguese IT industry.
Her appointment as Co-Managing Director is therefore a natural and well-deserved recognition of her achievements and leadership over the years. Looking back with pride on what they have accomplished together, António de Carvalho looks forward to continuing COCUS Portugal’s success story alongside Alexandra Monteiro.
