In a world where news about blood shortages is making headlines, we decided to act and fulfill our corporate social responsibility: we started our first blood drive in Portugal!
About our initiative: Saving lives in minutes
We partnered with the IPST (Portuguese Institute of Blood and Transplantation) to make our blood drive a reality. This collaboration is a significant initiative for us because each blood donation has the potential to save a life. With just a small investment of your time, you can make a big difference. It often begins with raising awareness and taking that first step to get involved!
Therefore, everyone was encouraged to join in! Of course, in addition to our CO-lleagues, we also invited their family and friends and other businesses to join us in order to reach the largest possible number of donations. With our motto of the day “Be a lifesaver!” more than 35 participants participated at our on-site donation drive!
Among them were COCUS employees, as well as friends, family and even friendly companies in the Matosinhos and Porto region such as Concentrix and ISS Tech Team. We thank everyone who participated in this initiative and are happy to have encouraged donations!

It's an excellent initiative! I believe we were able to attract people who had never donated blood before and were converted by this action, and it gains even more value when we consider that the average age group being reached is quite young.
