Brussels, June 2025 – At this year’s Critical Communications World (CCW) in Brussels, the technology partners COCUS, Airspan, Cyrus Technology and Frequentis jointly showcased a fully integrated end-to-end MCPTx solution in the 450MHz frequency band, tailored to the specific needs of utilities, public safety, and other critical infrastructure sectors. The joint live demonstration at the CYRUS booth marked the first public presentation of results stemming from the strategic alliance formed in 2024, which set out to deliver reliable, future-proof end-to-end communication for mission- and business-critical environments.
Commitment translated into action
The joint setup at CCW 2025 is a key milestone of the partnership delivering on its promise to develop end-to-end solutions for critical communications in the 450MHz space. At the heart of the showcase hosted at the Cyrus booth was a fully integrated setup running a MCPTT solution combining Airspan’s 450MHz Open RAN eNodeB, Cyrus CM450XA rugged devices, and the COCUS core network. The demonstration illustrated the technical readiness and interoperability of the solution, offering a reliable communication end-to-end solution designed specifically for utilities, public safety, and critical infrastructure. Visitors to the booth engaged directly with the teams to explore deployment potential and integration use cases.
Ready joint showcase in COCUS Lab in Düsseldorf
The joint showcase is available from now on at the COCUS office in Düsseldorf, Germany for further demonstrations and development. The partners are committed to advancing the solution further and supporting stakeholders in transitioning towards scalable, interoperable, and secure solutions within the 450MHz ecosystem.
